Personal Best
Personal Best is a Bundoora Secondary College initiative designed to foster a lifelong love of learning beyond the classroom. Through Personal Best, students engage in purposeful programs and challenges that help them develop the skills, experiences, and credentials needed to build a professional portfolio and stand out from the crowd.
Why Personal Best?
Personal Best empowers students to:
Develop lifelong learning habits by consistently building skills and making meaningful connections across subjects and interests.
Take ownership of their learning journey, using their voice, making choices, and demonstrating initiative.
Strengthen their CQEES credentials—CERTIFIED, QUALIFIED, EXPERIENCED, ENTREPRENEURIAL, and SOCIETAL—by participating in diverse programs and challenges that showcase their growth and achievements.
How Does Personal Best Work?
Students in Entry (Semester 2) and PACE 1 and 2 select Personal Best programs from the BSC Worlds, each designed to support different elements of CQEES:
INSERT 2026 OPTIONS
If none of the listed options suit your interests, BSC encourages you to design your own Personal Challenge Plan. This plan should connect to at least one CQEES element and be approved by your PAL, parent or carer, and the principal team.
Your plan should include:
Your goal: what you want to achieve
CQEES connection: which credential or competency your goal relates to
Strategy: how you will achieve your goal
Timeline: when you aim to complete it
Evidence: how you will demonstrate your growth and achievement
Every student will present their Personal Best journey through their CQEES portfolio at the student-led conferences each semester. This process empowers students to reflect on their progress, showcase their achievements, and articulate the skills they’ve developed across all CQEES pillars.
Personal Best, together with CQEES, prepares BSC students for more than exams—it prepares them for life. By earning certifications, gaining hands-on experience, developing entrepreneurial skills, and making a positive impact on society, they’ll build the confidence and tools needed to thrive in tomorrow’s world.
