Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Program

Bundoora Secondary BYOD Program is designed to support students in their journey toward 21st-century learning. We believe that integrating technology into everyday learning tasks enhances educational experiences and helps students develop critical digital skills such as maintaining respectful relationships in online and digital environments, and digital literacy.

Expectations

Students are expected to have daily access to their own computer at school and at home. Acceptable devices include laptops or 2-in-1 tablets that meet the minimum specifications outlined in our Digital Learning Policy.

Every student has the right to access a quality curriculum, including the tools and resources required to maximise participation. Payment plans are available with qualifying purchases, and BSC has support in place for families experiencing hardship. For more information, please refer to the Access and Equity to the Digital Learning Program Policy.

Purchasing your device

BSC partners with Learning with Technologies to provide suitable devices that meet school requirements. Devices purchased through this provider include extended warranty options, optional accidental damage protection, and flexible payment arrangements such as financing and lay‑by.

Families may choose to purchase a device from another supplier; however, all devices must meet the minimum requirements outlined below. Devices that do not meet these requirements will have limited IT support and may experience restricted access to school systems, including internet connectivity, the Microsoft Office suite, and printing services.
