Senior pathways

At Bundoora Secondary College, senior students have access to a variety of pathways designed to prepare them for future careers, further education, and personal growth. Whether your goal is university, vocational training, or employment, our flexible learning options ensure every student finds the right fit for their aspirations.

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)
The VCE is an academic program that provides students with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) eligibility for university entrance. Students can choose from a wide range of subjects, allowing specialisation in sciences, humanities, arts, and more.

VCE Vocational Major (VCE-VM)
VCE-VM is an applied learning program for students who thrive in project-based, work-related, and hands-on environments. It offers practical skills and workplace experiences while still achieving a Senior Secondary Certificate.

  • Combines workplace learning, projects, and real-world applications

  • Focuses on literacy, numeracy, personal development, and industry-specific skills

  • Can be paired with Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses

  • Prepares students for TAFE, apprenticeships, traineeships, and direct employment

Vocational Education and Training (VET)

VET allows students to gain nationally recognised qualifications while still at school. Courses provide hands-on skills in trades, business, IT, health, and creative industries and can be combined with either VCE or VCE-VM.

  • Earn a Certificate II or III qualification alongside VCE or VCE-VM

  • Includes work placements and real industry experience

  • Opens pathways to further training, apprenticeships, and employment

  • Counts towards VCE and ATAR (for scored VET subjects)
