Welcome to the 2026 school year!

We hope you have enjoy a safe and restful holiday period. As we prepare to welcome students back for the 2026 school year, we would like to clarify several important details regarding the first week of school.

Tuesday 27 January

  • There will be no regular school program or classes on this day.

Wednesday 28 January

  • There will be no regular school program or classes on this day.

  • 2026 Entry PAL Connections Day Conferences. These conferences are for Entry students and their parents/carers and must be booked via COMPASS.

Thursday 29 January – First Day of School for All Year Levels

We are excited to welcome all students back on campus for the first official day of learning in 2026.

The structure of the day will be slightly different from the usual timetable:

  • Students will begin the day by going directly to their PAL classes.

  • During this PAL session, students will complete key start‑of‑year logistics, including locker organisation and reconnecting with their PAL teachers.

We look forward to a positive, energising start to 2026 and can’t wait to see our students back on campus, ready for a year of growth, learning, and connection.

From the Principal Team

Anesti away Term 1

I wanted to share with you all that I will be away from Bundoora Secondary College during Term 1, as I take on the role of Acting Principal at Viewbank College. Viewbank will be undergoing a recruitment process for their ongoing principal position, and I will be supporting their school community during this interim period.

This kind of temporary appointment is a fairly common practice across the Department of Education, and I have had the privilege of performing a similar role before — in Term 4, 2023, when I acted as principal at another government school. It’s always a valuable experience that strengthens my leadership and yields new insights I can bring back to our school.

Please be assured that I fully intend to return to Bundoora Secondary College after Term 1. During my time away, Travis Clark and Brian Daniells will be stepping into the principal roles, ensuring the smooth continuation of our programs, priorities, and plans for 2026. Both Travis and Brian are highly capable leaders who know our school community well, and I have every confidence that Bundoora will continue to thrive under their stewardship.

I appreciate your continued support and understanding, and I look forward to reconnecting with everyone at the start of Term 2.
