Learning to grow our own food

A great afternoon was spent with the students in our vegetable garden - part of our unique Farm Program. There are so many benefits to growing your own vegetables - including developing a healthy and productive hobby, reducing food miles and being able to eat delicious fresh food straight from the garden.

Salad greens are best for beginners, so if you have some spare space, or even large pot plants start with lettuce as they take up little space and can grow amongst flowers.
