PEER SUPPORT
The Peer Support program aims to empower young people to support each other and contribute positively to society.
The Peer Support program provides school communities with a peer led approach to enhance the mental, social and emotional well-being of young people.
Creating Future Leaders
PACE2 students are trained over two days at the end of each year. The following year as PACE3 students, they work with groups of entry students to give them a friendly, supportive face around the school and to assist with their transition into secondary school.
The program aims to:
-
Provide students with a supportive learning environment in which to develop the skills, understandings, attitudes and strategies to improve mental well-being
-
Develop key skills in resilience, assertiveness, decision making, problem solving and leadership
-
Empower young people to support each other and contribute positively to society
