Our REACH High-Ability Program

​

REACH – Rigour, Enrichment, Accelerate, Challenge, and High Ability – is BSC’s flagship high-ability program for students entering Years 7, but extends up to Year 10.

​

Applications are open to students who are enrolled at Bundoora Secondary College for 2027.

​

REACH Program Highlights

• Limited to 25 students to ensure tailored learning and mentoring

• Enrichment in literacy, numeracy, STEM, critical thinking, and innovation

• Opportunities to participate in advanced projects, competitions, and masterclasses

• Mentoring from BSC teachers and external experts

• Pathways to accelerated study and VCE extension subjects

• Students accepted into REACH are automatically eligible for one of 10 Excellence Scholarships across our subject domains (“Worlds”)​

Scholarships in 2027

BSC offers scholarships to reward students who demonstrate exceptional ability, commitment, or potential in specific areas. Scholarships are available to students accepted into the high-ability REACH Program. 

 

ENTRY 2027              There are 9 scholarships available across our 8 domains (Worlds). 

PACE2 -PREGRAD    There are 9 scholarships available across our 8 domains (Worlds).

Successful Scholarship applicants will receive the following over a two-year period:

• A laptop (maximum of 1 per student during their time at the college)

• Booklist costs across 2 years (up to the value of $250 per annum)

• Uniform costs across 2 years (up to the value of $250 per annum)

• Any other inclusions outlined in the specific scholarship benefits.

Academic Excellence Scholarship

For high-achieving students who demonstrate exceptional capability, curiosity, commitment and academic potential.

​

Athlete Development & Fitness Scholarship

For students who perform at a high level in their chosen sport and embody discipline, teamwork and resilience.

​

Science & Innovation Scholarship

For students with strong interests or achievements in STEM, innovation, engineering, robotics or environmental science.

​

Entrepreneur Scholarship

For students with a strong interest or proven achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship, including running their own business, developing ideas into projects, or demonstrating initiative in problem-solving.

 

Future Technologies Scholarship

For students passionate about emerging technologies, including coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, or other innovative tech fields, who demonstrate curiosity, creativity, and a drive to explore the possibilities of the future.

Design & Creativity Scholarship

For students with creativity, imagination and artistic talent across any visual medium.

 

Performing Arts & Entertainment Music Scholarship

For students passionate about instrumental or vocal performance, composition, or ensemble leadership.

 

Performing Arts & Entertainment Dance/Drama Scholarship

For students excelling in dance, drama, or stage performance with a drive to grow creatively.

 

Food, Environment & Conservation Scholarship

For students with strong interests in conservation, environmental science, or any part of the food system (growing, harvesting, sharing/business, cooking, and regeneration of waste) who want to help shape a sustainable future of food and the environment.

 

Culture, Service & Society Scholarship

For students who demonstrate compassion, initiative, leadership, and a commitment to positive impact within their school or broader community.
