Gresswell Church Afternoon Tea
In April, I hosted a luncheon for the parishioners from Gresswell Church in Bundoora as part of my VCAL Outcomes.
Myself, and a group of students from the Parallel program made sandwiches and cakes to serve to them. Ms. Nicolls brought in her lovely old dinner set and pretty tablecloths for the tables, it looked really lovely. Max Atkin couldn’t believe how small the cups were when he made the tea.
Some of the students from the Parallel program came for lunch and sat and shared lunch with the parishioners and listened to their very interesting stories about their lives. Many of them had very interesting jobs when they were younger one was even a pilot and another woman a nurse.
In turn they asked us about our school and our lives, we had lots of laughs together learning about another.
This is the most important thing that I have ever done, and I learnt such a lot from these lovely people, that I hope to organise another one very soon.
