DEBATING AND PUBLIC SPEAKING
Our student speakers are supported by experienced staff who are passionate about students learning to speak articulately, passionately and persuasively.
Bundoora Secondary College are members of the Debating Association of Victoria (DAV) and enter several teams each year into the regional debating competition held between March and August.
A Vibrant Team Sport
Our skills have improved with each season of experience we have gained and we look forward to continuing a long tradition in this vibrant team “sport.” A training program is offered each year to students in both Entry and PACE21. This valuable program, hosted by Bundoora Secondary College and run by the Debating Association, attracts numerous teams from schools around the region.

Each year we also enter students into the Plain English Speaking Award and other inter-school competitions as they arise. Our speakers are supported by experienced staff who are passionate about students learning to speak articulately, passionately and persuasively. Students are also encouraged in public speaking by a rich and engaging English curriculum which facilitates the enhancement of oral presentation skills.
